[New Issue Alert]: Vol 44, No. 3 (2023) has been published!
Dear colleagues,
We are excited to announce that Anthropology & Aging Vol. 44, No. 3 is now available online! https://anthro-age.pitt.edu/ojs/anthro-age/issue/view/44
This final issue of 2023 includes three original research articles: the cover story was written by the winner of the 2022 Margaret Clark Award, and it offers a creative reconfiguration of the term ‘non-disclosure’ to portray the ambivalent lived experiences following an Alzheimer’s diagnosis in Denmark. The other two original articles examine questions of kinship, gendered care practices, loneliness and belonging through engaged ethnography.
Issue 44(3) also includes three Book Reviews of works that examine questions of digitality in Ireland; explore the role of movement in institutional care settings in Australia; and provide an intimate ethnography of death rituals and mourning practices in Japan.
As always, all of A&A’s articles are open-access and free to download. We hope that you will enjoy reading this issue as much as we enjoyed putting it together!
We are always looking for submissions that question, challenge and expand the anthropological possibilities of studying ‘age’. We encourage you to read our Submission Guidelines to see if your work is a good fit for our journal.
We welcome your comments and suggestions, and we hope that you will choose A&A as your next publishing venue.
Thank you for your readership and support in 2023. We wish you all a happy and healthy New Year!
Sincerely,
Editorial Team, Anthropology & Aging
